Santa Monica, CA - October 13, 2010 - The new St. John's Health Center has awarded a contract to McMurray Stern to provide eleven high density storage systems for the Sterile Supply and Materials Management departments at the new state of the art facility. McMurray Stern is the exclusive Spacesaver Area Contractor for the Greater Los Angeles area.
“The Spacesaver compact shelving systems installed throughout St. John's Health Center have made it possible for several departments to significantly reduce their storage area footprint compared to their previous space,” says Matt Denburg, President at McMurray Stern.
Since its founding in 1942 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, St. John's Health Center has developed a national reputation as an exceptional place for health and healing. Through the dedication and collaborative effort of community friends, patrons, physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers, Saint John's continues its tradition of providing outstanding personal care as a premier community hospital.
“The staff needed to make the best use of their cubic space without a lot of waste,” says Keith Michael, Design Consultant at McMurray Stern. “We measured all the hospital's materials to make sure the shelving systems would efficiently accommodate the wide variety of items to be stored. In addition, the systems installed adjacent to the operating rooms and sterile supply rooms were designed with color coded end panels to allow staff members to quickly identify the items stored in each aisle. ” |
